Dr. Prem Reddy Named Among the Top 100 Physician Leaders to Know in 2015
Prem Reddy, M.D., FACC, FCCP, Chairman, CEO of Prime Healthcare Services, has been named among the 100 Physician Leaders to Know 2015 by Becker’s Hospital Review. Dr. Reddy is a cardiologist, double board-certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiology and the Founder and CEO of Prime Healthcare, a Top 15 health system with 38 hospitals across the country.
“It is an honor to have been recognized along with many other remarkable physician leaders,” said Dr. Reddy. “This great country has given us the opportunity to work towards and provide excellence in healthcare for all communities.”
The seeds of Prime Healthcare’s success were first sown in the High Desert of Southern California where Dr. Reddy began practicing cardiology. During his 25 years of practice in California, he performed more than 5,000 cardiac procedures, including coronary angiography and angioplasty and permanent pacemaker implantations. It was there that he built Prime Healthcare’s flagship facility in 1994, Desert Valley Hospital, in Victorville. This hospital set the standard for quality healthcare and was the first in the Prime network, now a family of 38 hospitals in 11 states.
Prime Healthcare is proud to now be one of the largest hospital systems in the United States and has been named the Fastest Growing Hospital System in the country by Modern Healthcare. As a system, Prime has been recognized among the “15 Top Health Systems” three times and is the only “10 Top Health System” west of the Mississippi. Prime Healthcare hospitals have been recognized among the “100 Top Hospitals” 33 times.
“Prime Healthcare believes that exceptional healthcare should be part of every community,” said Dr. Reddy. “Our physicians, nurses and employees are dedicated to improving healthcare and adding value to the lives of patients and communities. This value will continue to grow as we continue our mission of saving hospitals, saving jobs and saving lives.”
Dr. Reddy is a visionary and generous leader, donating millions toward charities that provide educational scholarships and free healthcare. Through his charitable foundations, he has donated over $800 million to fund not for profit hospitals, charitable missions and universities including the creation of a new, non-profit medical school located in California.
