Ontario, Calif., March 25, 2013 – Prem Reddy, M.D., FACC, FCCP, Chairman, President and CEO of Prime Healthcare Services, today was ranked among NJBIZ’s “Power 50: Healthcare.”

Dr. Reddy was picked as healthcare’s ninth most powerful person in New Jersey, in an annual list that highlights the power players involved in a changing healthcare landscape. Prime Healthcare has two acquisitions, St. Mary’s Hospital in Passaic and Saint Michael’s Medical Center in Newark, pending approval by state officials.

This list was compiled and ranked by the editors of NJBIZ after discussions with leaders in the healthcare field in New Jersey.

Prime Healthcare was recognized in 2012 as one of the Top 15 Health Systems in the nation by Thomson Reuters, based on quality of care, efficiency and patient satisfaction. Prime Healthcare ranked higher than the other 21 health systems in California and more than 30 other health systems on the West Coast. No health system in New Jersey, New York or Connecticut has ever earned this recognition. In addition, Thomson Reuters ranked Prime Healthcare as the Top 10 Health System in 2009. In 2013, eight Prime Healthcare hospitals ranked among the “100 Top” hospitals in the nation by Truven Health Analytics (formerly Thomson Reuters).
