In the coming months the flagship hospital in the Prime Healthcare Services (PHS) impressive healthcare network, Desert Valley Hospital, will unveil its new expansion. It represents the fulfillment of a commitment made by PHS to provide High Desert residents with a world class healthcare facility that provides vital services to an underserved population. The hospital was established in 1994 by Dr. Prem Reddy who is a highly respected physician and a renowned philanthropist in the High Desert region.

Two cardiac catheterization labs, an open heart surgery suite and two additional operating rooms are among the highlights. The addition of 53 medical surgical beds and 12 intensive care unit beds will help address the current bed shortage in the region. A state-of-the-art cardiac nuclear camera as well as a new digital radiology system puts Desert Valley Hospital on the cutting edge of modern technology. An open house will take place later this year and the public will be invited to tour the new addition.

In just 15 years of operation Desert Valley Hospital has one numerous accolades and awards for its quality of care including being recognized as a Top 100 Hospital in the Nation.
